Persico Group and 19-01 Holding are pleased to announce a strategic partnership focused on the development of the WF-X, an advanced Large Amphibian Aircraft designed for wildfire fighting and other aquatic operations. 
This collaboration combines Persico’s long-standing expertise in advanced composite materials and manufacturing with 19-10’s forward-looking approach to next-generation aviation technologies. 

As a key partner in this initiative, Persico will contribute its knowledge of advanced composite materials to deliver solutions that balance high structural performance with cost-effectiveness in manufacturing. 
By leveraging innovative materials and production techniques, the partnership aims to set new standards for amphibian aircraft hulls, improving durability, reducing lifecycle costs, and enhancing repairability. 

Traditionally, amphibian aircraft have relied on aluminum alloys, which present challenges in terms of weight, corrosion resistance, and maintenance. 
The WF-X project seeks to address these challenges by integrating carbon fiber composite technology, creating new benchmarks in lightweight aerospace design inspired by recent advancements in marine and aerospace engineering. 

Additionally, the collaboration will introduce large hydrofoil-equipped tip floats, a novel feature designed to optimize stability during takeoff, landing, and water-scooping operations while minimizing aerodynamic drag.
